National World War I Museum, Kansas City, MO

The Churchill Centre, in partnership with the National World War I Museum and the National Churchill Museum, will be presenting two programs in Kansas City, MO next month to commemorate the outbreak of the First World War and Winston Churchill’s seminal role in its early years. The first program is a talk on “Winston Churchill, the Rise of Germany and the Outbreak of the First World War” by popular historian and frequent TCC speaker Prof. John Maurer to be presented Thursday evening, October 9 at the World War I Museum. Prof. Maurer’s presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. preceded by a free reception at 6:00 p.m.

On Saturday, October 11 at 12:30 p.m. the Museum will host the local premiere of the acclaimed BBC docudrama Churchill’s First World War.
