Colonial Williamsburg is located on the Virginia coastline, just east of Richmond and is easily accessed by plane, train or car.

There are three major airports located in the region. Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Richmond International Airport (RIC), and Norfolk International Airport (ORF). Below you will find a breakdown of driving instructions for each of the three major airports.

One option for those who do not wish to rent a car or ride share from either of the three major airports is to take the Amtrak train from Washington, D.C. Those who wish can land at one of two major Washington-area airports, Washington Reagan (DCA) or Washington Dulles (IAD), and train from D.C. at Union Station or Richmond, VA to Williamsburg, VA. The Northeast Regional Amtrak rail leads directly to Williamsburg, VA Station (WBG)
