Cold War, Civil War, Iran, and Alliances

The National Churchill Leadership Center (NCLC) in Washington, D.C. and the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in London continue to work in partnership to present speakers about past and present events of interest to Churchillians. You can watch the resulting videos or register for upcoming events for free. Read through the paragraphs below to learn the topics.

The National Churchill Leadership Center hosted two sell-out events this spring. On March 25th a panel of experts from the Elliot School of International Affairs discussed “The Legacies of the Cold War.” A link to the panel discussion can be found here.

On April 17th former International Churchill Society Executive Director Lee Pollock gave a lecture on “Winston Churchill and the American Civil War.” A link to this event can be found here.

As part of its new partnership with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the Society will be hosting two events at the think tank in May. On May 8 th, Dr. Ali Ansari will be addressing “A Riddle Wrapped in a Mystery? The Enigma of Iran.” You can register for Dr. Ansari’s event here.
