Young Churchillians Gather for Pol Roger Champagne Tasting

Members of the International Churchill Society’s Next Generation (ICS NextGen) met in London on St. Patrick’s Day. Young men and women with a shared interest in Winston Churchill gathered at the UnHerd Club for a presentation and tasting of various wines from the House of Pol Roger, Churchill’s favorite.

Martin Heinsick, one of the Pol Roger sixth-generation members working in the family business, joined with George Repard, a great-great-grandson of Sir Winston Churchill, and three dozen others to sample different champagnes, including the prestigious Cuvée Sir Winston.

ICS Chair Mitchell Reiss also attended to welcome those who will be leaders of the next generation. “Your belief that the life and legacy of Sir Winston Churchill provide a valuable guide to the challenges of the present and the future perfectly embodies the reason our organization exists,” Reiss told those present.
