The Churchill Centre’s Global Leadership Summit is a two-day conference at The Four Seasons Georgetown in Washington, DC. The focus of the Summit will be Security and Democracy in the 21st Century, and the life, times and writings of Winston Churchill will provide a context against which current world issues will be placed.

The Churchill Centre will honor Fred Malek at the 2010 Churchill Centre Leadership Award Gala with the Churchill Leadership in the 21st Century Award. Each year, The Churchill Centre recognizes an individual who carries on the legacy of Churchill’s leadership, statesmanship, vision and courage. Past honorees include: Bill Marriott, James A. Baker III, Lee H. Hamilton, General Tommy Franks, and William S. Gates Sr. 2010 Gala Co-Chairs are Bobbie and Bill Kilberg, Bill Marriott, and Catherine Reynolds.

The Summit will attract 500 attendees, including government officials, top business leaders, policy makers, academics and members of The Churchill Centre
