The original diagrammatic tube map by Harry Beck has also become an iconic artwork in itself. It later inspired ‘The Great Bear’by Simon Patterson, in which stations were replaced with celebrities’ names. To date there have been hundreds of spin-offs, from literary figures to football teams to pub names!
