Just when you thought you had seen everything, the search for Churchilliana unearths something new! These are linen cocktail napkins imprinted with the image of Prime Minister Winston Churchill. The imprint of “Premier Churchill” is the same on a postcard made in Belgium after that country’s liberation in 1944.
Belgium is well known for producing quality linen goods. Consequently, it is reasonable to believe these cocktail napkins were produced there as well. Certainly, the quality of this set has held up remarkably well, especially given that the linen must be close to eighty years old. The colorful image also remains fresh and cheerful.
The search for Churchilliana continues!
