The schedule has now been set for this year’s International Churchill Conference, which takes place October 5–7 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Events include a Pol Roger Welcome Reception aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia, speaker presentations at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, and a black-tie gala dinner addressed by Sir Winston Churchill’s grandson the Rt. The 2023 Stephen and Jane Poss Distinguished Churchill Lecture will be delivered by Dr Henry J. Hendrix PhD: retired US Navy Captain and naval flight officer, author of numerous professional articles and essays and author of Theodore Roosevelt’s Naval Diplomacy and To Provide and Maintain a Navy – Why Naval Primacy is America’s First, Best Strategy. He currently serves the Sagamore Institute as a senior fellow, exploring the national security challenges facing the United States.
As part of our experience at the venue, there will be a private lunch and book signing.

Our Black-Tie Dinner will begin with a reception followed by dinner in the Edinburgh Suite. We are delighted that Sir Winston’s Grandson will be our keynote speaker for the evening. Lord Soames is the eldest child of Christopher Soames and Mary Churchill, the youngest daughter of Sir Winston and Clementine Churchill. He was commissioned into the 11th Hussars and subsequently served as Equerry to HRH The Prince of Wales, now King Charles III.
