Churchilliana Churchill Collectables: Roosevelt & Churchill Royal Winton Teapot

By BRIAN KRAPF

This porcelain teapot measures six inches tall and was produced during the war by Royal Winton. The transfer image features President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Prime Minister Winston Churchill. Royal Winton produced numerous wartime items utilizing this transfer image, and many such trays, bowls, mugs, and vases have found their way into collections. The teapot, however, is rare and seldom found. From a collector’s standpoint, this is likely the best of the Royal Winton production and is highly sought.

Brian Krapf formerly served as President of the American Political Items Collectors.
