Doug is a career soldier having spent thirty-four years in the military. During that time he served in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Northern Ireland being awarded the Military Cross, the General Officer NI commendation, the Queen’s Commendation for Bravery (for saving the lives of enemy soldiers) and the NATO Meritorious Service Medal. Doug remains a member of the Army Reserves serving with 2 ROYAL IRISH and holding the rank of Major.
