This Churchill Scarf by Emily May from Falmouth University was awarded second place in the 2014 Pentland Design Competition:

‘When putting together a scarf design for the Churchill competition I researched a lot into Winston’s life and, after discovering that he was much more than just the British icon we’re all familiar with, I thought that ignoring any element of his personality would be doing him a disservice. With this in mind my design celebrates Churchill’s love of roses, butterfly collecting, and word play, as well as his strong connection to family life and wife Clementine.’ – Emily May
