CHURCHILL, a new play adapted and performed by Ronald Keaton, is receiving its Off-Broadway premiere at New World Stages following an acclaimed 2014 sold-out world premiere in Chicago. Performances began on 6 February 2015.

The play depicts him in March of 1946, when he has just shockingly been defeated for re-election as Prime Minister, is in forced retirement and everything he has fought for is threatening to slip through his fingers. When he receives an invitation from United States President Harry S. Truman to speak in Fulton, Missouri, he rediscovers his strength in a speech that impacts the world forever.

In this highly charged new play directed by Kurt Johns, Churchill discusses his failures and his successes; his love of art, liquor and women; and the bravery of Britain’s finest hour.
