The Forty-second conference of the International Churchill Society (ICS) will take place this year from October 9th through the 11th. 2025 marks the eightieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the beginning of the Cold War. Washington is an ideal venue for discussing the role of Winston Churchill in international affairs and the continuing relevance of his example in facing the challenges of today.
The conference will open on the evening of Thursday, October 9th with a reception at the historic Anderson House, headquarters of the Society of the Cincinnati to which Churchill was admitted as a member. Conference sessions will begin on the morning of October 10th at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington’s West End.
The conference will conclude on the evening of Saturday the 11th with a gala dinner inside the Great Hall of the National Portrait Gallery, which served as the reception area where in 1865 President Abraham Lincoln and Mrs. Lincoln greeted guests attending their second inaugural ball
Registration will open in the next few weeks. Updates about speakers and events will be published here in the Churchill Bulletin over the course of the year. This event is sure to sell out like past conferences, so please make plans now to join us this fall in Washington.
