Conference Reception on Royal Yacht Britannia

Ticket sales for the 40th International Churchill Conference are exceeding all expectations. Taking place 5–7 October 2023 in Edinburgh, Scotland, one of the highlights of the event will be our Welcome Pol Roger Champagne Reception onboard the Royal Yacht Britannia held in the majestic State Dining Room, where Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II entertained world leaders. The International Churchill Society will have exclusive use of the entire yacht, including behind-the-ropes private tours of the State Apartments. Launched by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in Scotland in 1953, Royal Yacht Britannia entered service the following year, and continued to remain the residence of the Royal Family at sea for forty-three years before being decommissioned in 1997.

In addition to touring Britannia, we are planning a full schedule of experiences, including exclusive use Edinburgh Castle and a special visit to Scone Palace, the Crowning Place of Scottish kings. Conference lecture sessions will take place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Friday, 6 October. Our black-tie gala dinner will take place in the Edinburgh Suite of the Sheraton Grand Spa and Resort.
