Registration Now Open for the 2022 Churchill Conference

The 2022 International Churchill Conference will take place October 6–8 in Kansas City, MO at the National World War I Museum and Memorial of the United States. There will also be a day trip to America’s National Churchill Museum in Fulton, MO. Early-bird pricing is currently available that provides a substantial discount. The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center is the official conference hotel. Reservations can be made HERE.

This year’s conference will begin with an opening reception on the evening of Thursday, October 6. Those who arrive early will be able to tour the World War I Museum and galleries. Nearby points of interest include the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence, a suburb of Kansas City.

On Friday, October 7, conference attendees will be transported by luxury coach from Kansas City to Fulton, where America’s National Churchill Museum is located on the campus of Westminster College. This is where Winston Churchill made his famous “Iron Curtain” speech warning about the potential danger of Russian aggression following the Second World War in 1946. In addition to touring the museum, lunch will be served. Guests will then gather in the historic Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury for the 2022 Enid and R. Crosby Kemper Lecture. Coaches will return to Kansas City following the lecture.

On Saturday, October 8, all events will take place at the National World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City. Leading speakers will address the theme “Churchill in War and Peace” throughout his lifetime, and the First World War is a good place to start. A full decade of Churchill’s life was occupied by the events leading up to the conflict, the war itself, and the complex aftermath. Not only was Churchill a high-level decision maker, he also fought in the trenches and was afterwards awarded the US Army Distinguished Service Medal.
