The thirty-sixth International Churchill Conference will take place 29–31 October in Washington, D.C. at the Georgetown Marriott. Full program details are still developing, but there are some exciting details that can already be shared.

The month of the conference will coincide with the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Churchill’s involvement in the Cold War (he famously coined the term “Iron Curtain” in 1946) will be explored by leading scholars.

Following the opening reception on the evening of Tuesday, October 29, there will be a screening of Churchill and the Movie Mogul, a brilliant new documentary by filmmaker John Fleet about Winston Churchill’s relationship with Alexander Korda, the primary founder of the British film industry. Fleet, who wrote about this subject in Finest Hour 179, will speak directly after the screening.

More program details will be posted along with conference and hotel registration links during the coming months. We look forward to seeing you in Washington next fall!
