42nd International Churchill Conference

Washington, DC.

The International Churchill Society’s forty-second conference was held October 9 to 11, 2025. The 2025 ICS conference commemorated the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Washington is an ideal venue for discussing Winston Churchill’s role in international affairs and the continuing relevance of his example in confronting today’s challenges.

The conference will open with a reception at the historic Anderson House, the headquarters of the Society of the Cincinnati, to which Churchill was admitted as a member in 1947. The conference sessions will begin the following day at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Washington.

The conference will conclude on Saturday evening with a glittering black-tie gala reception and dinner in the Cathedral Nave at the Washington National Cathedral. The Washington National Cathedral features the Churchill Porch, dedicated to Winston Churchill in 1974. It features an inscription of words Churchill spoke to Congress on Boxing Day 1941.
